Cast Cone Crusher Parts: Mantles, Concaves and Bowl Liners
Aftermarket wear liners for cone crushers, cast in high-manganese steel. Cone crushing chambers are lined by two working surfaces — the mantle (moving, on the cone head) and the concave / bowl liner (fixed, on the ring) — both consumable castings whose grade and profile set crushing performance and product shape. We cast in Mn13, Mn18Cr2 and Mn22Cr2Mo with compatibility for Metso/Nordberg HP and GP series cones and the common Chinese cone models; anything outside the pattern library is cast from your drawing. For jaw plates and cheek plates, see our jaw crusher parts page; the full range is in the crusher wear parts catalog.
Cone Crusher Parts We Cast
| Part | Position | Duty |
|---|---|---|
| Mantle | Cone head (moving) | Compression + abrasion against concave |
| Concave / bowl liner | Ring (fixed) | The mating wear surface |
Material Selection
Cone liners fail by compression and abrasion with strong impact — the duty where high-manganese grades earn their cost. Mn18Cr2 and Mn22Cr2Mo work-harden strongly under these conditions: as-cast HB 180–260, work-hardened to HB 450–550, with meaningfully longer wear life than Mn13 in hard-rock chambers. Mn13 remains the economical choice for softer, low-silica feed. Cr-Mo alloy steel suits moderate-impact positions where stable initial hardness matters.
| Grade | As-cast | Work-hardened | Chamber fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mn13Cr2 | HB 170–230 | HB 300–450+ | Soft/medium feed |
| Mn18Cr2 | HB 180–260 | HB 450–550+ | Hard rock standard |
| Mn22Cr2Mo | Higher | Highest | High-impact, large feed |

Cavity Wear and Replacement Practice
Mantle and concave wear is position-dependent — liner profiles drift as the chamber opens up, coarsening the product. Replacing the mantle and concave together keeps the chamber geometry; replacing only one member accelerates the new part’s wear, so matched-set replacement is the recommended practice. We supply liners with cavity-position options to standard profiles or to drawing.
